Meet the Artists

Our contributing artists bring an exciting diversity of perspectives and techniques to the festival. Here’s the full lineup:

Robyn McClendon

Robyn is a mixed media artist and educator whose work combines intuitive mark making, symbolic imagery, and discarded materials to explore layered narratives and the beauty of imperfection.

With a career spanning more than three decades, her art has been exhibited internationally and commissioned by organisations such as Essence Communications, IKEA, Target, and UNICEF.

As a long standing teacher and mentor, she is known for her holistic approach that helps artists develop their visual language and connect creativity with personal growth.

Julia Weston

Julia is a mixed media artist, printmaker, and creativity coach based in Clevedon, North Somerset.

Working on cradled panels and paper, she combines acrylics, inks, collage, and monoprint techniques to explore worn surfaces, repeating patterns, and the changing coastal landscapes near her home.

Sketchbooks are central to her practice, supporting her experimental approach and ongoing artistic development.

Karen Stamper

Karen is a collage artist based in Cambridge, known for her richly textured works inspired by her coastal upbringing in Yorkshire.

Combining found papers with painted layers that are repeatedly constructed, sanded, and reworked, she creates surfaces that echo urban marks, worn textures, and boatyard memories.

Her work has been exhibited widely and recognised through awards from organisations including the Society of Women Artists and Contemporary Collage Magazine.

Lisa Goddard

Lisa is a mixed media artist with a background in Fine Art and a deep love for sketchbooks, art journaling, and handmade books.

Working with paper, fabric, paint, ink, and even coffee, she creates grungy, textured pieces that blend drawing, collage, and everyday materials.

Her work is inspired by life at home, the nature on her doorstep, and vintage photographs and fabrics that carry untold stories.

Jenny Grant

Jenny is a mixed media artist and educator based in Stockholm, known for her richly layered portraits and abstracts that blend acrylics, collage, fabric, ink, and expressive mark making.

Her intuitive, process driven approach reveals emotion through texture, depth, and hidden details.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Jenny has guided thousands of artists through courses and retreats, sharing her focus on flow, creative voice, and the beauty of imperfection.

Marabeth Quin

Marabeth is a mixed media painter and collage artist based in the hills of Nashville, Tennessee.

Inspired by shifting light, water reflections, and the rhythms of the natural world, she creates layered works that explore emotion, presence, and the beauty of imperfection.

Her intuitive process blends painting and collage to reflect life’s many fragments, resulting in artworks that feel contemplative, atmospheric, and deeply connected to nature.

Sally Hirst

Sally is a professional artist and qualified teacher based in the UK, with decades of experience in studio practice and art education.
