I’ve always been curious about materials and different ways of making art. I love trying a new technique, experimenting with an unfamiliar material and discovering how I can use it in my own way.
Over the years, I’ve explored collage, mixed media, printmaking, bookmaking, painting and many other techniques. Some have become an important part of my own work, while others have simply led to an interesting experiment or a new idea.
I believe we don’t always need to know where something will lead. Sometimes learning a new technique, picking up an unfamiliar material or simply trying something different is enough to get us making again.
