Sounds like me at the beginning of my art journey:
I collected all kinds of art supplies, watched countless YouTube videos but didn’t know where to start, stared at a blank page and was afraid of failing.
Many times I felt stuck because I didn’t understand what needed to change to create a composition that truly worked.
What did I change?
I realised that the only way forward was to keep creating and exploring – to stay curious instead of waiting for the perfect idea. That’s where everything began to shift.
Over the years I’ve learned how important playfulness and letting go are in collage and mixed media. And that progress doesn’t come from doing more, but from staying connected to your materials, your ideas and your own visual rhythm.
